- Anastasia
Bethanis Arnokouros
vocals & flute
One of the key
elements attributed to First Generation's long lasting success.
Anastasia has been entertaining audiences with her smooth, powerful
voice from the age of sixteen. Graduating with a Bachelor Degree in
Music Education from the University of Toronto, Anastasia is also an
accomplished classical pianist. Anastasia has also worked
as the choirmaster for various churches, conducting and arranging
four-part mixed choirs for the challenging repertoire of Greek
Orthodox church services. She recently completed a Bachelor of
Education at York University and is now a teacher for the York
Region Board of Education. Anastasia's versatility and vocal
presence sets her apart and makes any event unforgettable.

Konstantine
Arnokouros vocals/keyboards
- Konstantine
Arnokouros grew up in the heart of Toronto's Greek Town and has
been performing professionally since 1984. His love for Greek
music has inspired two Medi-terranean CD's as well as credit for
three songs on a Canadian Gold Album. Along with managing First
Generation Konstantine is currently studying at the Art
Institute of Toronto for Graphic Design and produces music for
independent artists.

Evangelos
Koulogiannis bouzouki
"Vageli" has been with First
Generation since December 1999. He originally began bouzouki lessons
at the Odeon School of Music in Toronto. In the late 80's his family
moved to Greece and Vageli went on to study with one of the well
known classic composers of the 50's & 60's, Theodoros Derveniotis.
From Derveniotis he acquiring an authentic yet distinctive bouzouki
sound.

Steve Bethanis
bass guitar
Steve
primarily studied guitar at Toronto's Odeon School of Music and
later at the Toronto Conservatory of Music. As a guitarist, he
gained much respect from his guitar students and fellow musicians
alike for nearly a decade before picking up the Bass guitar in 1985.
Performing professionally since 1975, Steve has worked with some of
the most talented performers and entertainers. Steve has a natural
ear for music, and is a well known local musician.

Bill Katsioutas
guitar /clarinet
Starting out as
a self taught rock guitar player at the age of fourteen, he soon
decided to pursue more formal training by studying the classical
guitar and music theory at the royal conservatory, then later at the
University of Toronto where he received his Bachelor of Music in
Performance.
Upon completion of his studies Bill spent the next ten years refining his
craft by performing as a classical guitarist and as a "gigging
musician" with various local bands. Then later some better gigs such
as being a featured soloist with the George and Bay Symphony
Orchestra in a performance of the Concerto De Aranjez, a
member of the Jesse Cook Band (4 yrs) and performing with
Lyona Boyd, Natalie Mc Master and the Chieftains.

Peter Andreou drums
Panayiotis Andreou was born in
Itea, Fokidos, Greece. He
began studying music at the age of twelve at the Attiko Odeon School
of music in Athens. At fourteen he auditioned and became a select
member of the Pannelinios Musicians Sylllogos. Later on he studied
drums and keyboards with Berkeley instructor, Andreas Foulias.
It was here that he acquired his world class training. Panagioti
went on to perform throughout Greece with such reputable Greek
performers like Zafiris Melas, Makis Hristodoulopouos, Vasilis
Karras, Klonaridis, Aggelopoulos, Vitali and many more. Panagiotis
came to Toronto in 1994 and has become a great asset to First
Generation.

Konstantin Popovic
violin
Along
with First Generation, Tino performs with the Windsor Symphony
and has recently acquired the position of Assistant Concert
Master. Tino owns and operates Wellington Music,
providing classical ensembles for wedding receptions, corporate
functions and all types of private ceremonies.
